Duke played Virginia Tech Saturday and walked away with a
win. The final score was 75-60. Austin Rivers was the high scorer for Duke and
for the game with a total of 18 points. Austin went 11-17 from the field and
didn’t shoot any free throws. Duke out-rebounded Virginia 33 to 29 which hurts
a team. Turnovers hurt Virginia as well as they had 13 to dukes 7. Erick Green
was the high scorer for Virginia with a total of 17 points, shooting 7-13 from
the field. Erick also shot 4-4 from the line.
After beating Virginia, Duke lost to Miami 74-78. Reggie
Johnson of Miami was the high scorer for the game scoring a total of 27 points.
He shot 11-18 from the field and 50% from the line. Duke was out-rebounded
48-43, hurting them along with 11 turnovers. This loss puts Dukes record at
19-4, and 6-2 in the ACC. Dukes next game is Wednesday, February 8, against
North Carolina.

ReplyDeleteI watched the end of the Miami game and it kind of sucked. They were only two points off before the last basket and foul.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow college basketball much, but I do know that Duke has a strong tradition, so I expect they'll do well in March.
